Create on the wheel
Wheel throwing is ceramics on the potter’s wheel. You learn how to center the clay, open the form and begin pulling up the walls at a calm pace with guidance throughout.
We focus on the basics and on helping you understand how the clay moves on the wheel.
No previous experience is needed.
Children aged 6 and over are welcome to participate together with an accompanying adult. The accompanying adult does not need to book a separate place if they are only there to supervise. If the adult would also like to participate in the workshop, a separate place must be booked.
Up to 1 kg of clay is included.
Additional clay is 100 SEK per kilo.
If you have a large project in mind, we recommend booking more than one workshop session on the dates and times that suit you.
How it works
During the three hours you work at the wheel with guidance along the way. We cover centering, opening and how to build a simple form such as a cup, bowl or small vase.
After the workshop we take care of your pieces in the studio. They dry slowly and we then bisque fire them for you. Drying and bisque firing can take around 3–4 weeks.
When your piece has been bisque-fired
- Leave the glazing to us. We glaze your piece using the dipping method with one of our selected glazes; this is included.
- If you want to decorate it yourself or choose another glaze, book our Decor & Glaze Workshop.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
Your booking applies to the date and time you selected.
A full refund is available for 14 days from the payment date. This does not apply if the workshop starts within those 14 days.
If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your place to another person. Please let us know the name of the new participant before the workshop.
